For all tongues rising against me for saying my mind, and letting the world know my position, hear my submission and check if I erred.
I didn't join the APGA Party in order to join any Cartel. I did so because I had a burning desire to help build a more just society in ANAMBRA.
I didn’t want to explain the Anambra and Nigeria as it is, I wanted to change the Anambra and cause the entire Nigeria to emulate us.
This 17 years in politics,17 years on that burning desire to change the Anambra and cause the entire Nigeria to emulate us, 17 years and it is as strong as ever.
We should oppose these other party groups when they are wrong with all the strength we can muster,We must also be the party of change offering a different vision for a better future. That is what I intend to do by rejoining APGA. My commitment is to Anambra, I am committed to Change, not an individual, not a cartel.
I want Anambra State people and our state government to have time to reflect, review and reform on what is on ground, fashion out as we are already doing the best way to rebuilt here within the next three years. I pray that those mindless agents of distraction, those who talk out of frustration to allow Anambra to focus on her transformation because Anambra is bigger than one man, and belong to us all.
APGA is assumed by non politicians to be in crisis, If you call it crisis no problem, we call it realignment of interest. But if I should flow with you, crisis is it? If it is, then we have not wasted this crisis – and we will not waste the opportunity. We move now to elect more determined Leaders who will use the reformed and renewed APGA Party to convince the people of other states in Ana Igbo that we are ready. Ready to match their aspiration with our vision; to match their struggles with our solidarity and yes match their patriotism with our pride in Igbo values.
The truth is that for 8 years we devolved Anambra, but we did not devolve ourselves to match that new reality. Over time our failure to match the reform of our state with reform of our party undermined our capacity to convince other Igbo states' voters of our aspirations for a better Igbo Land, and our determination to deliver for them.
So now, in the most difficult of times, we have searched for, and found, the reserves of strength and self-confidence to open up and move forward rather than to retreat. When one of our most committed party leaders addressed us, he assured that a radical reorganization of the APGA party is on the way, to create not just greater discipline in our campaigning but a profound unity of purpose and vision in our pursuit of a better Igbo Land. An Igbo land shaped by values of fairness, opportunity, equality and solidarity.
Recent happenings have made APGA our party review some measures not of our weakness, but of our strength.
We are together, we are working the door is open to progress not retrogression, "mana lotakwanu na Nke anyi bu Nke Anyi"
