THE DAWN OF APGA’S NEW ERA.

On.......................................................8/10/14.
Ndi Anambra , in the past twenty four hours I have reached out to the big and small of all party men that make things happen on phone, joining with local party members at a series of fight back meetings in our local political rendezvous in my town. I have been asking everyone a simple, solitary question and I repeat it here: do we want to win next election for the people irrespective of who leaves or who joins us? I mean do we really, really want to win? Do we really, really want our APGA Government in power to grow, work and develop our place more? I asked because unless we do, unless you do, then we all might as well loose all the past efforts we had put in due to one man’s exit from our fold.
The paid media agents may have written us off, but they have forgotten something else: this APGA Peoples movement never gives up: we never have, we never will because of the exit of a man we made king. Yes we joined to make H.E Peter Obi the King here for eight years, we swore together to nurture APGA ideology together, but it is very, very unfortunate that after using the ladder, our man feel he can destroy the wrung, it is too bad an experience but our people is more determined now than ever to prove that the power belongs to the people. We shall win as we had never won before, and nobody else can do that except us “each and every one of us.
I think the fate of our party will be decided at the very last moment on the voting day. If we do our job as a firm APGA leadership, if you do your jobs at the grass roots, whatever the polls say, when people get into the privacy of the polling booth, then I think the next election will be more like in 2010 when everyone expected the Government to lose but in the end voters considered the PDP Opposition led by Prof Soludo too much of a risk.
I think Anambra voters and believers in APGA might set aside their dissatisfaction with individuals and ask themselves a much more fundamental question: do they really, really believe in being distinct and developing at their own pace, and devoid of any external interference? if the Answer is Yes, then we shall Ignore every Ifeajuna and Njoku in our midst and stick to the Ojukwu's modern gun in our hands, our votes, and vote it wisely and correctly for the people we know are not loyal to any other quarters other than the people, the original Igbo men and women who has no pull-string on their waist that could be controlled from any alien, those correct men and women should be those candidates censored and confirmed by our party, APGA.
Let us remind ourselves why we want to beat the oppositions to APGA Ideal. Because we all share the same APGA values, and the really encouraging thing is that the vast majority of the Igbo people share these values too.
The same values of caring, community, solidarity, social justice, equality, fairness, liberty and democracy;
The same values that brought most of us into politics due the stop Mbadinuju-and-PDP's underdevelopment struggle of 2003.
The same values which motivated the great Ikemba of Africa, described as a “Rebel“ by the enemies, to fight and speak for a fair share for his people.
The same values of the Ndi Igbo who banded together to protect their people that are slaughtered like ram all over the nation;
The same values of the known Igbo elders and wise men who struggled for sacredness of our peoples' vote when polls were being rigged with impunity all over the nation;
The same values of the dogged and loyal party men who fought for their mandate in the tribunal for three and half years to get back the vote they cast.
And “ yes “ the same values of mutual care and mutual support that inspired party men to keep hoping and surviving, even in the face of brazen social neglect, denials and rejection after the stolen mandate recovery war was as good as won.
That is the APGA values that today stand for good governance, but on the verge of being traded off if we the people allows. Yes, the threat we face today is the destruction of all these values and reasons why APGA came to be in the first instance, that's what we must all stand up and fight against.
I' m proud of what we have achieved as a APGA Government all these years. Yes I hold my head high and I am sure you too should. Some of us may have made mistakes in the process; everyone makes mistakes.
But NOBODY can take away the fact that, even after all the crisis and differences, after all the problems the party people faced, there are still more and more development under your APGA supported Government.
All of these and many, many more to come concrete and tangible APGA achievements are what we stand to loose in Anambra if you all do not ask questions before dumping the legacy that Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu laid for us all.
We should be much more confident about our party and her policies. This should be our era to soar like eagle we all are.
After the terrible tales of betrayal by some of our products, this is an era for active not passive government, an era for hands-on not hands-off government, for getting stuck in and helping people, not leaving them on their own prey to the banking blizzards. An era for APGA not Individual- one man show Government.
So let's be proud of our Party, proud of our APGA traditions, proud of our Progressive heritage.
And let's do everything ‘absolutely everything’ in our power to stop the aliens from destroying all our achievements and wrecking Anambra again. Never will we go back to those dark days of those parties whose polices we comprehended not, current state of Aba, the Enyimba city will tell Ndi Anambra where and what they are being lured into.
Till next year’s poll, keep reaching out to all true Ndi Igbo, tell them that never have we discussed with any individual or group or association that we shall kill Dim Ojukwu’s legacy after his death. Never, and we will not. Be peaceful, law abiding and guard your votes jealously because it is the ultimate power you have in your hand.
But it is unfortunate that those whom we had hope shall assume the responsibilities of more leaderships after we made them our leaders decided to blow the bridge behind them, but we are not giving up, we are fighting and we shall fight to say NO to such costly political mistake, so that in the end, Nigerians shall look at us and say, Ndi Igbo have men of honour who can never lie, no matter what conditions they are subjected to.
Lastly, to all my fellow compatriots and APGA believers all over the world:
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for coming with APGA on this incredible journey over the past decade.
Your loyalty and support has enabled us to do what we have been able to do to lead Anambra and establish the kind of state we all want to be in.
We know you all will give APGA the same support and loyalty to the party and support those our share values and visions.
While one of our leaders have switched camp,APGA's role of leadership in Anambra state and in the nation certainly is not coming to an end.
When times are tough, when the future needs to be shaped for everybody“s benefit,APGA is the one party you can count on.
Long live APGA government in Anambra, Long live true Igbo dream of being different, Long live our Land.

Hon. MUOZOBA JOHNBOSCO
