We thank our party men and women who
have brought vital voices and fresh perspectives to our party by electing these
three giants to proceed to Abuja and help in making laws that will make the life
of an average Nigerian better, particularly the Anambra Central Senatorial zone
delegates, we thank you all for supporting our Leader, whose visionary
leadership and hard work have led APGA into this decade of great evolution of
our dear Country Nigeria. We are proud to state here after this extraordinary primary
election that has proven to be the most peaceful and promising event in our party's
history, that with the quality of Anambra people you have elected in this
primary election, with the quality of men you have chosen to represent us in
the Senate come 2015, that we are a stronger, better party than we were in the
past.
With these men we all have begin
a journey that will take us through Anambra's heartlands to see as we move
along the way, not only faces of hope of our people, but also faces of despair
on our people who are suffering as a result of all the Federal roads in our
geopolitical zones, which one do I talk of now? Is it Uga-Newi- Oba high way or
Enugu Onitsha express way? They are all there to remind us that those we sent
to Abuja in the past have failed us. If our Senators had been sitting and
approving appropriation bills with taking those into consideration, whose
interest are they in that chamber for? Ndi Anambra ? I doubt. But with these
three determined candidates you have chosen for Senate, we assure you that together,
they will make the hard decisions to renew our economy by ensuring that those
Federal roads are fixed and strengthen our people’s faith in Nigerian project
while at the same time working to advance democracy and defend freedom of
Nigerians here in our country and around the world. They can do it; they
assured us they will do it.
These three committed Anambra
sons have assured us that they will live up to their responsibilities as Senators
when they get to Abuja, we the people of Anambra state ought to live up to ours
and give them the tools and the opportunities they need to build better lives
for our people by the changes they will use their seats to deliver to us. The tools
and the opportunities they need to do it are our votes. It takes all of us to
give them the tools, the teachers, workers, business owners, community leaders
and people of faith, with whom we had been meeting and talking to all these
while. We know you had been doing it for APGA, and we know that you will still
do it for the sake of the future of Ndi Igbo. We need not educate you again on
what APGA can do through the people the present to serve you, you are all witness
that no “Alhaji or Cabiesie” had influenced our actions in the past and will
not tomorrow. You are all witness that we are giving all our students the
chance to succeed in the new Nigerian economy by modernizing our schools,
setting high standards, and hiring more qualified teachers to teach our
children what they should know about the changing world. You are also aware
that our doctors and nurses see children with illnesses that could have been
treated earlier if their parents had been able to afford hospital bills, and
you know that it is only an APGA government that have come out with a plan on
how children could be treated free of charge?
Ndi Anambra, we'll never
accomplish what we need to do for our people if we do not support and vote for
competent Senators who will be in Abuja for the interest of Anambra people and
not for oil wells and licenses. Our people, our generation has a rendezvous
with the responsibility of making sure that these three Senators are elected on
February 14, 2015 and sent to Abuja to fight the cause of Ndi Anambra. It's
time to protect the next generation by using our votes to ensure that these
three APGA Senators get to Abuja and do that which we send them to do, which
they had ensured us they will before we elected them in our primaries. At this
moment of great potential, let's not squander our children's futures. Let's elect
leaders who will leave none of our issues behind for personal or partisan
reasons. Leaders who don't just talk the talk, but walk the walk: leaders like Chief
Dubem Obaze in the North, Chief (Sir) Victor Umeh in the Central and Chief Ernest
Ndukwe in the Anambra South Senatorial Zone. We the APGA party men and women will
always be profoundly grateful to all of you and to the non partisan Anambra
people for the massive support you have given our party in thelast eight years
and ten months since we mounted our party’s first flag on the soil of Anambra
state. We thank you all, and we have not failed to keep our promises, the
massive infrastructural projects that our party have taken on of late in Awka
capital territory are signs of better things to our people from our party and
we only ask you to keep faith, keep voting our party and most importantly, we
tell you one thing tonight: Thank you for your support once again; at the same
time we urge you to vote us again and again. For us the party people, we have
done our part by singling the trio out to represent Anambra in the Senate; it
will be up to the people of Anambra to decide whether our men of valour will
have the privilege of serving them in the Nigerian Senate.
Thank you for your faith and support in good times and in bad. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for the honor and blessing of a lifetime which you all have accorded our party men and women with your votes in the past. Thank you all for supporting our THREE WISE MEN from the East, thank you for the decision to Vote Chief Dubem Obaze, Chief (Sir) Victor Umeh & Chief Ernest Ndukwe in the next general election on 14th February, 2015, it is a decision you will live to be proud of. Thank you for choosing APGA ahead of others.
God bless you all.
